Ornithine-Ketoglutaric Acid Transaminase Activity in the Sera and Corebrospinal Fluids of Pediatric Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
Normally the enzyme activity was not detectable in both the serum and cerebrospinal fluid.
In rheumatic fever, a collagen disease, a marked increase of the enzyme level was observed. Renal and hepatic diseases showed no or a little increase in the sera.
In poliomyelitis and tuberculous meningitis, increased enzyme levels were noted in most of the cerebrospinal fluids with little increase in the sera.
